Producer • DJ • Visual Artist • Teacher

My main interest goes out to electronic dance music. But in my journey of becoming a teacher

at the conservatory of Amsterdam I have been educated

in classical-, jazz- and world music as well. This way I have acquired a wide orientation in different styles of music.

I like to apply my knowledge of all the different types of music in my music, classes and education methods.

Who am I?

I was born in Hilversum in the Netherlands. When I was six years old I started learning to play the piano.

When I was twelve I began writing songs to sing and play with my guitar.

At the age of 14 I made my first electronic dance track.

My story

Growing up, I faced many challenges, including bullying for simply being myself. Today, I’m proud to be an outspoken transgender woman and a part of the LGBTQ+ community, but my younger self didn’t have that same confidence. I felt alone, lost, and often misunderstood, grappling with an identity that I hadn't yet fully embraced. Yet, looking back, these early experiences taught me empathy and resilience.

High school brought its own challenges. Despite my hope for better days, I found myself often targeted and pushed to my limits. But those experiences ultimately strengthened my resolve and deepened my understanding of others who feel isolated or misjudged. I have faced losses, including the heartbreaking loss of loved ones, which taught me the value of connection and the preciousness of life.

In my late teens, I began exploring my identity more openly. This journey was anything but easy and, at times, brought painful experiences that left lasting marks. But even through the darkness, I found a way forward. I struggled, fell, and eventually, I sought the help I needed to rise again. I’ve since built a strong foundation that allows me to embrace life, not as a series of challenges but as a journey of growth and transformation.

The turning point came when I met a community of friends who accepted me the way I am. Their support inspired me to live more authentically as the woman I am and to work through insecurities that had held me back. Even through setbacks, I’ve continued to learn, heal, and grow, guided by the belief that every experience can be a stepping stone toward becoming a more compassionate and grounded, enlightened person.

Music has been my sanctuary, a source of strength, and a reminder of the beauty in life. It’s more than just a passion; it’s a calling. Artists like Fox Stevenson have created songs that lifted me in my lowest moments, and now I feel driven to create music that will do the same for others. I know firsthand how a single song can change a day, a mood, or even a life.

Today, I bring all these experiences—my resilience, empathy, and passion for music—to everything I do. My journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of people and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where creativity and connection flourish. I believe in the power of authenticity and hope to inspire others through both my work and my story.

What music means to me

Music is one of life’s most powerful forces. I’ve spent years learning sound design, music theory, and all the technical skills that bring music to life, but no matter how much I know, there’s a magic to music that goes beyond words, a mystery that can’t be explained, only felt. Through every high and low, music has been there for me, lifting me up and giving me a way to connect with my deepest emotions.

A bad day at school? I pick up my guitar and play until the stress fades. Heartbroken from the loss of a friend? I throw on some heavy drum and bass, letting every beat release my sadness and anger. When my grandmother passed, I poured my grief into songwriting, allowing the music to hold what words couldn’t. After an inspiring weekend at a festival, I’m up all night in a creative flow, making music from the energy and joy I’ve just experienced.

Music has been my healer, my comfort, and my joy. It’s there when I need to cry, to laugh, to feel grounded, or to escape. And the best part? I get to take every one of those feelings and pour them into the songs I create, sharing that emotional journey with the world. There’s a special song, "Family Tree" by Venice, that my dad, my niece, and I sing at every family funeral. Though I can’t casually listen to it anymore, singing it together brings us comfort and healing in a way nothing else can.

I became a teacher, DJ, and producer because I want to pass this gift of music along to others. I want to show people the beauty of music, the way it can be a friend, a refuge, and a guide. I love teaching others to create and express themselves through music, giving them a healthy outlet and a source of strength to carry them through life’s challenges. I want to make people dance, to feel unity on the dance floor, and to lose themselves in the joy of the moment, letting go of daily struggles in a shared, uplifting experience.

My first rave was life-changing. I found a community that accepted me completely, full of open-minded, understanding people who radiated love and warmth. Raving taught me to be present, to find joy even in the toughest times, and to appreciate the moment for all that it is. I hope to give back to that community, guiding others on a musical journey that can offer them the same healing, acceptance, and love I’ve found through my experiences.

Music will always be the most important thing in my life. It’s a universal language that connects us all, a pure and beautiful expression that heals and unites. I am so deeply grateful for music, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without the support of its community. It has shown me the importance of belonging, and it has helped me becoming the woman I am today.

Without music, I wouldn’t be here, and I feel so fortunate to share its beauty with others.

The Things I Do

My main activities are producing, DJ'ing, teaching and visuals/filmmaking. I have been teaching classes and a few workshops at schools, mostly minors. I have worked at a few asylum centers, organizing musical activities like band improvisation.

Aside from that I'm active on YouTube and volunteer at the Funky Cat

My YouTube channel

On my YouTube channel I have a history of making short films. I stopped that a few years ago because I wanted to focus more on music. Now I'm combining the two by making after movies and visualizers. Nowadays I tend to make comedy sketches and tutorials as well.

The Funky Cat

For two years now I have also been helping at the funky cat. They are an organization organizing party's at "De Helling" in Utrecht. The idea behind these parties it that there are multiple different genres played, so a lot of variety and the merging of styles.
